About The Position
Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVACR) Specialist's perform skilled work in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. The HVACR Specialist 2 is responsible for performing advanced-level installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) systems at facilities managed by the Office of the Military. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of HVACR principles, system components, and operational standards, as well as strict adherence to safety regulations and preventive maintenance practices. The incumbent will independently diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues, ensure optimal system performance, and contribute to the reliability and efficiency of facility operations. The Specialist 2 classification represents a higher level of technical proficiency and autonomy compared to entry-level positions.
