About The Position

Rite Air Mechanical delivers high-quality commercial and industrial HVACR solutions by doing things the right way—clean installs, smart systems, and experienced people who know the work inside and out. We believe strong leadership starts in the field, not behind a desk. We’re looking for a hands-on HVACR Install Manager who has actually been in the field. This role is built for a former HVACR technician who knows systems end-to-end—how they’re designed, how they’re installed, how they operate, and what happens when something isn’t right. You’ll lead installs from planning through startup, but you’ll also be on-site, troubleshooting, guiding crews, reviewing parts lists, and jumping in when technical expertise is needed. If you can walk a job, read the drawings, know every major component involved, and confidently lead techs because you’ve done the work yourself—this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Previous hands-on HVACR technician experience is required
  • Deep working knowledge of commercial HVACR systems, components, and install practices
  • Ability to understand and manage entire system builds, not just pieces of the job
  • Experience leading installs, crews, or large-scale HVACR projects
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills rooted in real-world field work
  • Comfortable working on job sites—not just managing from an office
  • Solid communication skills with techs, clients, and leadership
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial HVACR installation projects from pre-job planning through final commissioning
  • Review drawings, submittals, and full system parts lists to ensure accuracy before work begins
  • Serve as the technical authority on-site—answering install questions, solving system issues, and ensuring proper execution
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules to keep jobs moving efficiently
  • Work directly with installers and subcontractors, providing real-time guidance and leadership in the field
  • Perform site walks, inspections, quality checks, and system start-ups
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards, manufacturer requirements, and local codes
  • Communicate clearly with clients, vendors, and internal teams
  • Identify install challenges early and make practical, field-tested decisions to keep projects on track
  • Mentor and develop installation teams using your technical background and field experience
