We are looking for an HVAC & Utility Systems Maintenance to join our team! This position will be based at our Kohler, Wisconsin location. We specialize in manufacturing high-quality cast iron products.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship.
  • Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC Systems) Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or Electro-Mechanical degree or must be enrolled in accredited program working towards the degree.
  • Must hold or be able to acquire a valid Universal Refrigerant Handling Certificate within 18 months.
  • Required to be an active participant in the Kohler Company Fire Brigade, responding to plant fires.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, inspect, troubleshoot and repair plant utility systems.
  • Perform all operations in accordance with the specified guidelines and instructions, while exercising safety for oneself and others.
  • Maintain all major utility equipment including Boilers, Air Compressors/Dryers, Chillers, Fans, Pumps, Wells, Cooling Towers and Fire Suppression equipment.
  • Maintain distribution systems for Steam, Condensate, Compressed Air, Chilled Water, Cooling Towers, Water Chemistry/Purification, Potable Water, Process Wastewater, Natural Gas, Propane, and Fire Systems.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems including Air Handlers, Rooftop units, and Make-up air units including associated controls.
  • Operate, inspect and maintain all Fire Protection Systems including but not limited to; sprinkler systems, fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, fire hose, hydrants, and other firefighting equipment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret and understand Mechanical and Electrical prints as well as P&ID diagrams.
  • Proficiently utilize a wide variety of equipment and tools.
  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management software to create work notifications, look-up and order parts, print work orders, and enter time confirmations.
  • Maintain technical competence in advancing technology via frequent training courses, on-the-job training, and vendor schools.
