Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of commercial controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Vocational School program graduate or an associate's degree in a technical field, or two years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
  • Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
  • Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of systems.
  • Mentor control technicians, service technicians, and mechanical technicians.
  • Diagnose and repair complex control systems malfunctions.
  • Consult with customers and provide field proposals for retrofits and upgrades.
  • Manage assigned work to ensure professional execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with customers regarding service provided and outstanding issues.
  • Provide safety leadership and instruction to technicians.
  • Compile job documentation and conduct self-study to maintain technical proficiency.
  • Assist in the design and configuration of building control systems.
  • Select, order, and track delivery of materials for projects.
