About The Position

The HVAC Trainer & Technical Support position involves the development, implementation, and maintenance of educational materials for HVAC product and services training. The role includes preparing sales aids, stock lists, and match-up forms for internal and customer use. The trainer will be responsible for scheduling, organizing, facilitating, and delivering classroom, virtual classroom, and on-the-job training for branch personnel and customers. Additionally, the position requires the development and updating of various HVAC certification programs as necessary. The trainer will become certified in vendor training programs such as Kohler and Mitsubishi, and will monitor the HVAC training programs to evaluate their effectiveness and recommend modifications as necessary. This role functions as an internal consultant on HVAC product lines to assess, measure, and enhance employee performance, while also responding in a timely manner to customers and TGG associates seeking technical support. The trainer may need to visit job sites with customers and vendors, maintain records of HVAC training activities, and track income and expenses for all training. The position also involves coordinating learning delivery through multiple mediums, facilitating the integration of company marketing concepts within the sales function, and collaborating with purchasing and branch staff to identify necessary HVAC products for servicing the marketplace. The trainer will interface with new hires and tenured employees to ensure that the HVAC sales training program meets current and future organizational needs, while continuously remaining abreast of HVAC industry trends and participating in increasing knowledge of HVAC products and requirements. The role includes working with the VP of Marketing and manufacturers' representatives to set up educational functions for The Granite Group staff and customers, performing all duties in a safe manner, and being familiar with Wrightsoft to assist branches as needed.

Responsibilities
