About The Position
As the Lead Mechanical Engineer (ME) at Vertiv, you will be responsible for the conceptual and detailed design of all thermal and ventilation systems, including HVAC design, cable management systems, fire suppression layouts, equipment layouts, and general arrangements. You will work closely with local agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and building codes. Your designs must meet or exceed Vertiv's quality requirements while adhering to budgetary constraints. You will also review and approve mechanical product submittals and provide detailed narratives for mechanical design aspects throughout the project phases. Additionally, you will conduct thermal transfer calculations, perform simple CFD analysis, and manage contracted integration companies regarding mechanical systems integration. Your role will involve creating general layout drawings, specifying materials, and collaborating with various business units and vendors to select appropriate mechanical equipment. You will define project scope, provide technical support during construction, ensure quality control during integration, and support on-site integration efforts. You may also engage with customers to design optimal solutions and offer innovative ideas to meet their needs.
