About The Position

We are currently looking for a dedicated Commercial HVAC/R Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial settings. The primary objective is to ensure the efficient operation of these systems while meeting environmental and safety standards specific to the commercial spaces they serve.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent education/work experience
• Experience with large systems with cooling towers
• At least 5 years of experience in the field or related area
• Hands-on skills and knowledge to complete required repairs and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems (including pumps, motors, air handlers, automation/controls systems, and associated electrical systems) using industry standard tools and in accordance with all applicable codes, laws, and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
• Ability to effectively manage diverse relationships with team members, contractors, building occupants, and clients.
• Ability to reliably transport self and supplies to various work sites.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for installing WSHP, package and split heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in new commercial buildings or upgrading existing systems.
• Conduct inspections, clean components, replace filters, and perform preventive measures to prevent breakdowns and reduce energy consumption.
• Diagnose issues and perform repairs, including troubleshooting electrical components, fixing leaks, replacing faulty parts, and restoring systems to proper working condition.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards, including responsible handling of refrigerants and designing systems to minimize environmental impact.
• Interact with clients to understand their HVAC/R needs, provide recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance, and repairs, including documenting work orders, parts used, and other relevant information for record-keeping and future reference.
• Stay updated on the latest HVAC/R technologies, techniques, and regulations through continuous training and professional development.
• Respond to emergency situations promptly, especially in critical system failure scenarios, and demonstrate quick and effective problem-solving skills.
