About The Position

Velociti Rail is a leading supplier of locomotive HVAC repairs to major Railroads. We are currently seeking the addition of a mid-level Railroad Air Conditioning HVAC Technician to our staff in Kansas City, MO. If you have mechanical abilities, are a quick learner and are determined to succeed, we may be the right opportunity for you. All work is performed within our facility with no travel required or exposure to the customers. HVAC tools and equipment are provided. Basic hand tools are employee’s responsibility.

Requirements

• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age
• a valid driver's license
• have general HVAC experience or equivalent training from a trade school
• Must be able to stand and bend over equipment to be repaired for extended periods
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Work safely in a busy environment
• Detail oriented

Responsibilities

• Safely perform repairs and maintenance on locomotive air conditioning and heating units.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Operate various hand and power tools.
• Learn to troubleshoot and make necessary repairs to equipment.
• Shop cleaning and workplace maintenance.
