About The Position

CSS is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial and commercial HVAC systems in a large facility and laboratory environment. This role is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys complex systems, hands-on work, and problem-solving.

Requirements

Associate's degree or HVAC apprenticeship completion
HVAC Journeyman License
EPA Universal Certification
Industrial or commercial HVAC experience
Strong troubleshooting skills, including chiller plant systems
Working knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
Familiarity with ductwork, AHUs, VAVs, boilers, BAS, and static pressure
Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation
Comfortable using MS Office and electronic work order systems
Willingness to be on-call and work evenings or weekends as needed
Lift up to 100 lbs
Frequent bending, climbing, and working at heights up to 35 feet
Ability to work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and industrial environments

Responsibilities

Maintain, service, and repair heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation systems
Troubleshoot and support large HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, pumps, valves, AHUs, VAVs, and BAS controls
Perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer schedules (daily through annual)
Respond to service requests and emergency repairs in a timely manner
Inspect HVAC systems and recommend repairs or system improvements
Safely work with multiple voltages (24VAC, 120VAC, 277VAC, 480VAC, DC)
Document work, time, and materials using a CMMS system
Follow OSHA, EPA, and facility safety standards
