About The Position

Reporting to the Manager of Maintenance, the HVAC technician will maintain, diagnose, and repair campus HVAC and related building systems to ensure optimal performance and comfort. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of HVAC experience in a commercial setting (or equivalent combination of training and experience)
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and basic building automation systems
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration diagnostic skills
  • A clean driving record and ability to meet federal and state driving standards
  • The ability to kneel, climb, lift, and work in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues
  • Monitoring and adjusting automated building systems across campus
  • Performing preventative maintenance (changing filters, lubricating motors, cleaning coils, inspecting heaters, belts, fans, dampers, drains, and overall unit condition)
  • Identifying and addressing maintenance risks proactively
  • Maintaining accurate service records, including parts and repairs
  • Ensuring compliance with HVAC codes and safety standards
  • Supporting campus needs, including special events and snow removal
  • Assisting with general maintenance tasks as needed (lighting, painting, event setup/breakdown, etc.)
