What You’ll Be Doing As an HVAC Technician / Installer, you’ll support new construction, renovations, and system replacements across multiple job sites. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure HVAC systems are installed safely, efficiently, and correctly—right from day one.

Requirements

  • EPA Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of HVAC installation experience
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and installation practices
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Experience using HVAC tools and testing equipment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel to job sites
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company or rental vehicles

Responsibilities

  • Install commercial and residential HVAC systems (RTUs, split systems, VRF/VRV, exhaust and make-up air units, and more)
  • Remove and replace existing equipment, ductwork, piping, and controls
  • Install ductwork, piping, insulation, hangers, and supports per drawings and specs
  • Coordinate work with other trades to keep projects moving safely and on schedule
  • Start up systems and verify proper operation
  • Perform basic testing, functional checks, and air balancing support
  • Identify and correct installation or performance issues
  • Assist with third-party testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB)
  • Perform system cleaning, filter changes, and basic maintenance
  • Respond to warranty service calls and correct workmanship issues
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, airflow, and operational problems
  • Manage materials on site (receiving, staging, and inventory)
  • Track installed equipment and document system performance
  • Complete daily reports, time tracking, punch lists, and close-out docs
  • Follow OSHA, company safety policies, and site-specific safety plans
