About The Position

Imperial Regional Detention Facility located in Calexico, CA. is now hiring career-minded people to assist with securing the safety of our community while positively impacting the lives of those on the inside. You'll be responsible for duties involving HVAC equipment and recovery, general maintenance and repairs of equipment and buildings, assisting with technical trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, training and licensing in the repair and maintenance of HVAC systems required.
General knowledge of repair and maintenance, and three (3) years of maintenance or related experience also required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Valid driver’s license in the state of California with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical systems, heating, ventilating and air conditioning.
Recommend contracted assistance when on-facility repair is not possible.
Perform preventive maintenance checks of building and equipment.
Monitor tool inventory.
Perform routine scheduled checks of air conditioning systems.
Provide on-call support in emergency situations or equipment breakdowns.
Requires long periods of walking and standing.
Requires bending, twisting, climbing ladders and pushing and pulling of a maintenance cart full of tools.
