About The Position

Facilities HVAC Technicians support maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and install of electrical and mechanical equipment within Tesla's Semi factory. Facilities HVAC Technicians utilize technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills, while working as a team with the entire Facilities Operations and Maintenance departments, performing general HVAC maintenance duties, preventive maintenance, and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned. Support all Facilities contractor scopes of work including job walks with the contractors, LOTO confirmation, scope of work reviews pre/post job, ensuring contractors follow all Tesla standards and protocols, general contractor needs throughout the scope of work (i.e. assisting contractors in the field) Perform maintenance on various types of industrial equipment as needed (typically mechanical equipment) Utilize equipment drawings and manuals to maintain and trouble shoot equipment Identify parts required for maintenance jobs and coordination of requesting various parts for jobs Communicate equipment issues with leadership and drive solutions to issues Displays positive attitudes and practices good work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years of related work experience as an HVAC Technician (non-construction) and be a Universal EPA license holder
  • Proficient in using vacuum pumps and gauges to pull refrigerant, and skilled in using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals, drawings, parts lists, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Must have a high degree of initiative, with the ability to work independently and effectively with other people and teams
  • Must have a written and verbal command of the English language
