About The Position
Performs at the journeyman level performing skilled work in the repair, installation and maintenance on all complex heating, ventilation, air conditioning units, chillers and air handlers in county-owned facilities. The incumbent in this position works under the direction of the Lead HVAC Technician or higher-level supervisor. This position will be subject to a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) security clearance due to its access to the various criminal justice system operations. This position may require you to have a take-home vehicle for purposes of responding to departmental emergency situations. An employee is covered under the County's auto insurance policy when operating the vehicle in the scope of his or her employment. Employees are encouraged to purchase a rider of endorsement to their personal automobile policy to provide coverage for operating a County vehicle for personal use including driving to and from work. In the event of a natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee may be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
