General Services Corporation (GSC) is looking for EPA certified HVAC Service Technician Trainees for our apartment communities in the Richmond, Virginia area! We pay you to train you! This program is a six-week course that focuses on service fundamentals to provide the trainee with a foundation on which to build a career in the residential facility service industry. Under the trainer's supervision, the Technician Trainee will participate in classroom/lab instructions and on-property hands-on projects/lessons. Once you graduate from the program, you will be promoted to a Service Technician role and assigned to one of the various apartment communities in Virginia.
Requirements
- EPA Certification (Type II or Universal)
- Willingness to learn basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, general maintenance, and appliance installation and repairs.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid driver's license and proof of insurance required, and ability to comply with criminal background check and pre-employment drug testing.
Responsibilities
- Complete service requests in a timely and proficient manner.
- Repair and/or install appliances and HVAC items as necessary to maintain a safe, comfortable, and quality dwelling.
- Provide excellent customer service to our residents.
- Must comply with all environmental and OSHA regulations and company policies.
