As a CBRE HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining HVAC Systems, mechanical, electrical equipment for sophisticated commercial sites by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance. This job is part of the CBRE Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

  • Assign tasks to team members. Ensure all duties are done in a timely manner.
  • Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment, including calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.
  • Work on Chillers, Air Handling Units, Roof-Top Units, Walk-in Refrigeration.
  • Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
  • Solve equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job subject area and broad knowledge of several job subject areas within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
  • In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Massachusetts Refrigeration License is required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and the ability to carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new point of view on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Inquisitive perspective with strong attention to detail.
  • Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
  • Leadership experience in a similar setting is beneficial.
