HVAC Technician I Key Responsibilities Conduct routine and moderately complex HVAC maintenance. Perform troubleshooting and corrective actions on mechanical systems. Assist in commissioning and balancing HVAC systems. Support PM schedules, documentation, and code compliance. Installs basic heating and air conditioning equipment and systems. Responds to service calls with appropriate efficiency and accuracy. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to facility emergencies as required. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Good working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems. Ability to interpret schematics, mechanical plans, and control diagrams. Moderate troubleshooting skills. Effective communication. Typical Qualifications Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent climbing and balancing, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Must have good mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work alone. Must be able to work in crawl spaces and attics. Technical degree or trade school completion. HVAC certification(s) (e.g., EPA 608 minimum recommended). Ice machine training. Proficient with freon installation and removal. Brazing copper pipe. (strongly preferred). 2-5 years of relevant HVAC/mechanical experience. Driver’s License & Evidence of Insurability.
