About The Position

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for a Technical Instructor II in Cypress, CA. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for primarily providing technical training to internal and external customers on Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC (METUS) products and systems offered and related software packages. Responsibilities include in-house and on-site customer instruction. The Technical Instructor will have personal interaction with various levels of customers ranging from dealer/distributor owner/president to engineer to contractor/service mechanic on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or a minimum of five years technical experience in the HVAC field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in formal training delivery.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting complex electronic and refrigerant flow systems.
  • Highly enthusiastic and energetic person capable of building and maintaining customer interest during training.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and through formal presentations.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of the tools included in the Microsoft Office Professional Suite.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently with little direct daily supervision
  • Ability to translate complex thoughts and ideas and communicate them in an easy to understand form.

Nice To Haves

  • Military technical training experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical training for internal and external customers both on-site and in METUS training centers.
  • Setup, configure and maintain training equipment and information libraries.
  • Conduct on-site assessments of customers installation and maintenance functions to determine needs for follow-up training.
  • Participate in the design, development, and/or updating of training programs and supporting materials such as training guides, practical exercises, assessments, and other handouts consistent with product updates and releases.
  • Assist with the training and qualification process for internal and external Authorized Trainers.
  • Assist with design, layout, equipment selection and periodic inspection of METUS Authorized Training Centers.
  • Manage the upkeep and maintenance of assigned METUS training centers including installed equipment, test equipment and tools and facilities.
  • Provide back-up technical support for internal and external customers when required.
  • Work closely with service department staff to keep up with current issues and solutions.
  • Willing to travel up to 40% for various Company meetings and training both domestically and possibly Internationally
  • Other Duties as assigned.
