About The Position

The HVAC Tech III or IV position at Bryan ISD involves diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems, including chilled water and refrigeration systems. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Texas Driver License.
• Four years of experience in HVAC systems maintenance and repair.
• Certified Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic preferred.
• Certified Universal Technician for Refrigerant Handling.
• Maintenance Electrician License preferred.
• Some knowledge of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of energy management software and control systems such as I NET, TAC, Alerton, Automated Logic, and Delta.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair and maintain industrial chilled water, heating water and HVAC equipment including cooling towers, chillers, boilers, and air handlers.
• Diagnose, service, repair and maintain refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers and ice machines.
• Install new HVAC systems and components and relocate existing systems as needed.
• Fabricate, assemble and install duct work and piping according to specifications and code.
• Wire and connect motors, compressors, and sensors according to schematics.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all HVAC equipment.
• Perform water treatment testing and maintenance on cooling towers and water loops.
• Select materials and make time and materials estimates for projects.
• Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure work areas are clean and neat.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed.
