AES a division of Lennox, was established in 1988 and is one of the largest manufacturers of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems in the nation. We have recently expanded our capabilities as a single source supplier by adding a Mechanical Services Division as well as becoming a Misc. Steel manufacturer. These new services will reduce construction costs and eliminate coordination with multiple suppliers and subcontractors. Our focus will be to enhance the services provided to our General Contractor network nationwide. AES has 4 different fabrication facility locations nationwide to assist our customers and reduce their freight cost and shipment lead times. An HVAC Teadown (I) at our Lennox AES location in Tallassee, AL is responsible for the safe and efficient recovery and reclamation of parts from HVAC systems. They play a crucial role in environmental sustainability by ensuring the proper handling, recycling, and disposal of HVAC components, in compliance with industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work with dust/oil.
  • Able to use hand and power tools, including metal cutting saws.
  • Works with a positive attitude and is a team player.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects.
  • Has an attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Able to handle and sort different materials.
  • Previous manufacturing or construction experience.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment
  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigerants, and their environmental impact preferred

Responsibilities

  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure efficient and thorough recovery.
  • Handle and sort materials through the reclaim process.
  • Identify and address any potential issues with the equipment during the recovery process.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in all reclaim activities.
  • Cross train and help in other areas depending on workload.
