Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
  • Provide customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
  • Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
  • Partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and absorption machines, open-drive screw chillers and ammonia systems.
  • Work with other local market mechanics as well as Servicemen and apprentices and provide on-the-job training when necessary.

Requirements

  • Twelve (12) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in the HVAC industry and Industrial Petro-Chemical, or Data Center vertical environments.
  • Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers and/or ammonia/hydrocarbon system components.
  • Maintain ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification.
  • Able to install complete systems, including Chillers, Rooftop Units, plumbing and all supporting mechanical systems.
  • Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators, laser etc. of pumps, fans, Compressors.
  • Able to use vibration equipment to troubleshoot drivelines.
  • Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver's license.

  • Be a dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn and be responsible for system troubleshooting, repair and aftermarket services.
  • Must be a member or willing to join a local Union.
  • Attention to detail through interpersonal, digital, and written skills.
  • Self-starter with a passion/ desire to learn and apply on the job.
