About The Position

PCSI is looking for an HVAC Supervisor to oversee our HVAC team serving the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) on Fort Sill. This role oversees daily workflows, provides technical guidance and development to the team, and ensures all activities meet federal, Army, and local regulations while aligning with company policies and procedures. This role is key to the planning, scheduling, and inspection of work orders and preventative maintenance to ensure work is completed on time and safely. The HVAC Supervisor also serves as the primary point of contact for HVAC shop operations by coordinating communication among staff, management, and the customer through accurate reporting, documentation, and project records. How You’ll Work: This position worked on-base on Fort Sill in Lawton, OK. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, with some flexibility needed in emergencies. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory trades experience and a working knowledge of large installation facilities operations.
  • Minimum 7-10 years HVAC experience required, with working knowledge of related trades such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • EPA Universal Certification required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer software applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Technical proficiency in multi-trade technical fields to include electrical, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and HVAC systems associated with maintaining large installation, multi-story, and multi-complex facilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong scheduling skills with the ability to coordinate workloads and ensure timely completion of all work orders.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and have strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to exert disciplinary action as needed as well as delegate authority.
  • Ability to work both with minimal supervision and as a team player.
  • Team-building skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with employees, managers, and customers.
  • Must be able to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb ladders.
  • Frequently required to kneel, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
  • If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman License preferred.
  • Experience working on a government contract or government installation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Supervision & Leadership Providing supervision and technical support of all utilities trades to include HVAC mechanics, boiler mechanics, general maintenance workers and electronic technicians and works under the direct supervision of the HVAC Manager.
  • Oversee daily activities of craftsmen, and comply with various federal, Army, and local regulations.
  • Answer technical questions and provide guidance and counsel to employees.
  • Enforce and work within company policies and procedures.
  • Direct the short- and long-term planning, scheduling, and inspection of daily operations.
  • Maintenance Planning & Oversight Coordinate HVAC daily shop operations to facilitate post readiness of all HVAC systems and achieve completion on time, within budget, and in accordance with company policies.
  • Plan, schedule, and inspect work to be accomplished by trades.
  • Provide direction for the preventative maintenance program for all cooling and heating systems.
  • Ensure work to be accomplished is completed safely and in a timely manner.
  • Review and introduce new work practices.
  • Communication & Reporting Serve as a point of contact for site-related maintenance activities and work closely and in partnership with the DPW staff.
  • Provide data, reports, and documentation of work, and maintain project records.
  • Report significant issues in a timely manner to management as necessary.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes and systems that meet or exceed quality standards and are within budget.
  • Track service orders for quality and completion.
