About The Position

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Superintendent to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC systems on construction and facility management projects. The ideal candidate will manage project schedules and budgets, ensure quality and safety standards, coordinate with contractors, and maintain full compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. Must be able to read BLUEPRINTS.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC and construction supervision.
  • Licensing & Certifications: Valid driver’s license and applicable HVAC licenses (e.g., Journeyman). OSHA 10 certification preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with in-depth understanding of HVAC installation, repair, maintenance, and system design.
  • Blueprint Reading: Must be proficient in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team while maintaining high performance standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for complex HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Oversee HVAC installation timelines, budgets, and logistics to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train HVAC technicians, establish performance expectations, and handle personnel issues as they arise.
  • Coordination & Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between clients, general contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication.
  • Technical Oversight: Review project specifications, shop drawings, and submittals to verify that all technical requirements and design criteria are met.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict safety standards, maintain OSHA compliance, and manage site inspections according to national, state, and local codes.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality assurance walk-throughs, monitor installation methods, and oversee system commissioning and validation.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate delivery of materials, tools, and subcontractors while maintaining accurate inventory and resource allocation.
