About The Position

As a HVAC Sr Field Service Technician here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and service for HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment in various settings. You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you’ll work out of our Woonsocket, RI or Canton, MA locations. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and reliability of HVAC systems, directly contributing to the satisfaction of our clients and the success of our service operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC service and repair.
  • Rhode Island Electrical License.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
  • Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Experience with various HVAC systems including commercial and industrial units.

Nice To Haves

  • Good experience of working on Windows Operating systems, installation and configuration of the windows operating systems
  • Hands on experience of working with customer's IT team and knowledge of networking infrastructure, dealing with configuration of IP addresses and subnets
  • Technical Training & Building Automation Controls Experience
  • Can program more than one system Tridium, Niagara N4, Integrate 3rd party systems such as BACnet, LON, and Modbus on chillers, boilers, VFDs, generators, rooftop units (RTU), VRF, FAS, etc

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Building Automation systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure system reliability.
  • Participate in on-site walk-throughs, formal commissioning, and customer demonstration/training on projects.
  • Provide onsite and offsite technical support during installation, start-up, commissioning, and turnover process.
  • Complete programming and commissioning process.
  • Oversee and/or assist with installation of controls systems to control Boilers, Chillers, Process Water Systems, RTUs, Air Handlers, etc.
  • Run one-off problems, scenarios, and integrations based on the needs of the customer.
  • Develop and program graphical displays to monitor and adjust mechanical systems operations (EBI Front End Command Control Interface).
  • Perform system back-ups and install appropriate updates and patches.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of virtual machines, system imaging, and networking to serve the needs of the customers (may need to possess certifications).
  • Complete required documentation for work performed or other contractual obligations.
  • Proper use of safety personal protection equipment.
  • Security and other clearances as required by customer.
  • Assist with design, estimating, and installation of various building automation systems.
  • Travel up to 100%
