About The Position

The HVAC Shop Assistant plays an essential role in the success of our field operations. This position ensures that all materials, equipment, and fabricated components are prepared, organized, and ready for installation teams. You'll work closely with project managers, installers, and warehouse staff to maintain smooth daily operations.

Requirements

HVAC experience preferred but not required
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience a plus (we can train)

Responsibilities

Prepare and stage job materials per project work orders
Assist in loading and unloading trucks
Organize and maintain shop inventory, tools, and equipment
Maintain cleanliness and safety of the shop and yard areas
Assemble and build equipment as needed (air handlers, heat pumps, package units, etc.)
Support field teams with parts pickup, deliveries, and shop-built components
Operate shop equipment (shears, brakes, hand tools, forklifts-training available)
Track material usage and communicate shortages to purchasing
Assist with general shop tasks as assigned
