About The Position

This is a non-competitive position located at RSC Newark, NY 14513. The salary range for this position is $37,544.00 — $40,953.18. Candidates must meet the requirements of the Ontario County Civil Service.

Requirements

• Possession of an Associate's Degree or certificate in heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning technology or a closely related field.
• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, AND Two (2) years of full-time paid experience, or its part-time equivalent, in the operation, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment (i.e. HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, or closely related).
• An equivalent combination of training and experience as described in (1) and (2) above.
• Possession of a valid New York State driver's license at time of appointment and maintenance of such license throughout the tenure of employment in the position.

Nice To Haves

• Trade school certification, which includes coursework in boiler systems, heating plant and air-conditioning/refrigeration operation, maintenance and repair, may be substituted for one year of experience.
