About The Position

HVAC Service Tecnician (Onsite - W2 Only) Top Skills: · Engineering Degree Required, strong HVAC skills in refrigeration, strong trouble shooting and maintenance experience · Expenses: Mileage provided while driving to work sites in the area. Mileage is to the site and between sites is covered. · The mileage home is not covered. One direction pay on days they go to sites other than the office address. On days there is no drive to a site, the technician isn’t always required to come to the office address. Key Responsibilities: · Perform diagnostic evaluations, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems Install, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment · Conduct system performance tests and ensure units meet manufacturer and code standards · Perform routine maintenance, including filter changes, coil cleaning, and component inspections · Provide excellent customer service while explaining repair needs, options, and recommendations · Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation accurately · Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working condition · Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and applicable codes and regulations · Participate in on call rotation for after-hours or emergency service · Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and customers Qualifications: · High school diploma or GED · HVAC trade school certificate or equivalent experience · Minimum 2+ years’ experience preferred (or entry level for apprentice roles) · Valid EPA 608 Certification (Type I, II, or Universal preferred) · Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record · Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills · Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals · Strong customer service and communication abilities · Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments, including outdoors, rooftops, and confined spaces Preferred Skills (Optional): · Experience with smart thermostats and building automation · Familiarity with both residential and light commercial systems · Boiler and/or chiller experience · Electrical and refrigeration background · Kitchen equipment and/or refrigeration experience Work Environment & Schedule: • Field based role with daily travel to customer locations
