Utilize knowledge of heating and refrigeration theory, and pipefitting. Location: This role is based out of the Raleigh office and serves the East Raleigh, SC area. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Posting covers Class 4 and Class 5 Service Technician. Duties are based on the candidate’s qualifications below. Class 4 Service Technician All skills listed in the Class 3 category above plus the ability to perform trouble shooting and repairs on all types of air-cooled chillers, pumps, and low-pressure boilers. Advanced troubleshooting on all air-cooled equipment, both unitary and chilled water. Basic understanding of water-cooled chillers. Basic understanding of DDC control systems. Capable of maintaining and repairing cooling towers. Ability to diagnose water flow issues. Proficient with variable frequency drives and starters. Proficient with low pressure boilers. Class 5 Service Technician All skills listed in the Class 4 sections above plus understanding of water-cooled chillers, chilled water systems, large chiller rebuilds, rigging, large boilers, pumps, and assist with technical support to other technicians. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair large, water-cooled chillers. Diagnose issues on large boilers with power burners. Advanced diagnosis of air distribution systems (VAV/PIU). Chilled water system distribution and troubleshooting. Troubleshoot and repair/rebuild large pumps. Possess superior system knowledge and advanced troubleshooting skills.
