About The Position

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for completing the installation, service, and maintenance of various commercial HVAC systems. Must have experience with inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow and communicate instructions and directions both verbally and in writing.
  • Mastery of HVAC components and terminology.
  • Experience with inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment
  • Experience w/ HVAC systems start-up/commissioning
  • Working knowledge of HVAC concepts related to leak detection, evacuation, recovery, charging, heat pumps ,and air quality systems,
  • Working knowledge of service tools and testing devices
  • Ability to follow and communicate instructions and directions both verbally and in writing.
  • High School Diploma Required. Technical school preferred.
  • OSHA 10 Preferred
  • EPA Certified
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Minimum 10 plus years of HVAC experience required.
  • Required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
  • Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
  • Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Drive.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance for a variety of commercial equipment.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
  • Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems.
  • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Approaching every opportunity with a learning mindset.
  • Provide high-level customer service.
  • Actively participate in the NCCER Curriculum.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of air duct distribution systems, commercial and industrial.
  • Know relevant building codes, current legislation, regulations, policies ,and procedures for the installation and maintenance of systems.
