Description for HVAC Service Technician: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems, including: Air conditioning systems Gas furnaces Heat pumps Ductless mini-split systems Perform routine maintenance and tune-ups on HVAC equipment while maintaining appropriate and professional customer service Install and service HVAC components such as thermostats, air handlers, condensers, and furnaces Inspect HVAC systems to identify issues, code compliance, and safety concerns Perform air duct-related services including: Air duct cleaning Duct sealing Dryer vent cleaning Service and repair water heaters, including tank and tankless systems Clearly explain systems issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations to customers Complete service documentation accurately and timely Follow all safety protocols, company procedures, and local codes Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean working condition
Requirements
- 2-3 years of hands-on HVAC service experience (residential preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and troubleshooting techniques
- EPA Section 608 Certification
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Responsibilities
