About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, customer‑focused HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team at Eskimo-Bros AC & Heating serving the Tampa Bay and Sarasota regions. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and/or light commercial HVAC systems while delivering exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate is technically strong, safety‑minded, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, year‑round service environment. Requirements

  • 5+ years of HVAC service experience preferred (residential or light commercial)
  • EPA 608 Certification required
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in Florida’s heat and humidity, including attic and rooftop environments
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Excellent communication and customer‑service skills
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and use ladders safely

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Housecall Pro software
  • Experience with smart thermostats, zoning systems, and variable‑speed equipment
  • Familiarity with Florida building codes and permitting processes

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including heat pumps, gas furnaces, air handlers, condensers, mini‑splits, and package units
  • Perform routine maintenance, tune‑ups, and system inspections
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and airflow issues
  • Recommend repair options and system improvements to customers
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, property managers, and business owners
  • Provide accurate explanations of findings, repair options, and pricing
  • Maintain a clean, respectful presence on job sites
  • Use Housecall Pro to complete service tickets, estimates, and job notes accurately and on time
  • Follow all company safety protocols, EPA regulations, and local code requirements
  • Maintain truck inventory and ensure tools and equipment are in proper working order
  • Collaborate with dispatch and office staff to ensure efficient scheduling
  • Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours or emergency service
  • Support training of junior technicians when needed
