About The Position

The HVAC Service Sales Rep will help identify, develop, and close project-based sales opportunities within the commercial HVAC sector. Drive business growth by targeting projects for new installations, retrofits, and large-scale repairs while fostering strong client relationships and ensuring successful project execution in collaboration with operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or project-based sales within the HVAC, construction, or similar technical services industry (2-4 years preferred).
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems with the ability to clearly communicate project-specific technical details to clients.
  • Sales & Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated success in securing project-based deals and managing long-term client relationships.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with internal teams to deliver seamless project transitions and client satisfaction.
  • CRM & Software Proficiency: Skilled in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite for accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Travel: Valid driver’s license and availability for local travel to meet clients and oversee project details as needed.
  • Project-Based Sales Mindset: Strong ability to identify, pursue, and close project opportunities that align with company objectives.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Skilled in understanding client needs, building tailored project solutions, and providing exceptional service.
  • Organizational Excellence: Effective in managing multiple projects simultaneously and adhering to timelines.
  • Market Insight & Strategy: Knowledgeable about industry trends and able to adapt sales strategies to shifting market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Project Identification & Lead Generation: Identify and qualify project-based opportunities for HVAC installations, retrofits, and major repairs through proactive outreach, networking, and market research.
  • Sales Strategy & Pipeline Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to build a robust project pipeline, leveraging industry insights and aligning with company growth objectives.
  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their specific project needs and presenting tailored HVAC solutions
  • Project Scoping & Proposal Development: Work closely with clients to scope out projects, define deliverables, and provide accurate, competitive proposals that outline timelines, costs, and technical specifications.
  • Contract Negotiation & Deal Closure: Lead contract negotiations, ensuring terms align with project objectives and company standards, and work to close deals that support long-term partnerships.
  • Collaboration with Operations & Service Teams: Partner with internal teams to ensure project delivery aligns with client expectations, coordinating closely to provide seamless transition from sale to execution.
  • Market Analysis & Strategic Positioning: Conduct ongoing market research to stay ahead of trends, industry needs, and competitor activity, utilizing findings to refine project sales strategies.
  • Progress Tracking & CRM Management: Maintain comprehensive records of project leads, client interactions, and pipeline stages in the CRM system to monitor progress and drive results.
  • Customer Feedback & Satisfaction: Gather post-project feedback, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring client satisfaction to build trust and increase repeat business.
