About The Position

The HVAC Service Manager is responsible for supporting a service team in the delivery of field service and maintenance activities. This individual will ensure the maintenance and service teams have the proper skills, support, and resources. The HVAC Service Manager will work alongside the Operations Team to ensure the delivery of our Red Bow customer experience, develop and lead a technical training & development program that supports technical advancement, and serve as a technical expert & resource for advanced-level troubleshooting. The primary objective will be to create best-in-class field experience by ensuring the team members have the relevant skills, support, and resources. This will be accomplished by supporting a team of exceptional field and maintenance individuals and doing everything necessary to put them in a position to succeed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of residential field service experience.
  • 3+ years of service management experience.
  • Training, certificate, or technology requirements

  • Ability to continually walk, stand, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, reach in all directions.
  • Ability to maintain balance working off the ground using ladders, scaffolds, and/or mechanical lifts.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work in high, precarious places.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work outside; exposed to heat and cold.
  • Ability to see and read with or without vision aids.
  • Ability to hear and speak to exchange information.
  • Ability to perform maintenance duties and read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, LEAD, discipline, and terminate technicians.
  • Support the service and maintenance teams as a technical resource.
  • Provide onsite field support for advanced level troubleshooting.
  • Enhance the customer experience by reducing misdiagnosis and service warranties.
  • Serve as a technical expert and resource for field operation.
  • Facilitate the technical development of CCA team members through creation and delivery of a technical training curriculum.
  • Create a sustainable and agile field development model that provides clear technical development requirements for tier advancement.
  • Support the field hiring process by providing oversight and input of candidate skillset and technical experience.
  • Assist in the formal evaluation of CCA product offerings.
  • Complete special projects and perform other job duties as assigned.
  • Performance Reviews as necessary.
  • Assist Customers
  • Other tasks as requested by the General Manager or Operations Manager.
