About The Position

The HVAC Service Manager is responsible for achieving planned revenue growth goals, profit goals, and maintenance growth goals. The role involves fulfilling customer obligations on time and in a cost-effective manner while maintaining the company's high-quality standards. The manager will delegate and organize the work of others by establishing written job descriptions, goals, and objectives for each position in the department. Additionally, the manager will audit the performance of subordinates and take appropriate actions to ensure success. A personal sales goal must also be achieved in addition to the sales goals assigned to the sales team.

Requirements

• BS degree or 5 years of successful experience in a similar role.
• Sufficient knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Ability to appraise and inventory system components.
• Understanding of appropriate codes and industry standards.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to prepare clear and concise documentation.

Responsibilities

• Achieve planned revenue growth goals, profit goals, and maintenance growth goals.
• Fulfill customer obligations on time and in a cost-effective manner.
• Delegate and organize the work of others by establishing written job descriptions, goals, and objectives.
• Audit the performance of subordinates and take appropriate actions.
• Develop an annual plan of operations to achieve corporate goals.
• Plan annual sales goals for each sales representative.
• Direct, train, coach, and evaluate the sales team.
• Hold weekly sales meetings to review sales results and plan future sales.
• Monitor use of sales expense to achieve maximum benefit.
• Assure contractual commitments to customers are met.
• Train the operations manager in evaluating maintenance agreement results.
• Develop and implement training programs to improve department performance.
• Monitor all invoicing to optimize cash flow.
