About The Position

BME is expanding our commercial HVAC installation team and is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Installer to support full system installations across commercial projects. We specialize in delivering high-quality HVAC solutions through reliable service, strong teamwork, and a commitment to safety and craftsmanship. This role is ideal for a hands-on installer who takes pride in complete, start-to-finish HVAC installations and enjoys working independently in commercial environments. You will work closely with project managers and fellow technicians to ensure systems are installed correctly, safely, and on schedule. Requirements

  • 3+ years of HVAC/R installation experience
  • Strong knowledge of ductwork fabrication, refrigerant handling, and gas piping
  • Experience with crane lifts and rooftop unit placement
  • EPA 608 Certification required
  • OSHA 10 certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to work independently and follow installation plans

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial HVAC installation experience (preferred)
  • Experience with system startup and commissioning (preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete HVAC installations from start to finish, including 5–20 ton commercial systems
  • Install, modify, and fabricate sheet metal ductwork according to drawings and specifications
  • Run, braze, pressure test, evacuate, and properly charge refrigerant piping
  • Install, size, and run gas piping for furnaces, boilers, hanging heaters, and other HVAC equipment
  • Complete electrical wiring for HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including low-voltage controls and thermostats
  • Set rooftop units using cranes, including proper rigging, alignment, and safety procedures
  • Perform system startup, testing, and commissioning
  • Ensure work meets all codes, safety standards, and manufacturer requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site
  • Communicate clearly with project managers, supervisors, and customers
