Requirements

  • Proven HVAC service experience with strong technical and diagnostic skills
  • Leadership mindset with the ability to train, coach, and develop technicians
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of HVAC systems, tools, and safety practices.
  • Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers
  • Computer proficiency (timekeeping, billing, mobile systems, payment processing)
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • High school diploma or GED required; applicable HVAC licensure required per state regulations

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support HVAC service technicians to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of technicians
  • Lead new-hire orientation and ongoing technical and customer service training
  • Conduct ride-alongs to coach technicians on diagnostics, technical skills, customer communication, and best practices
  • Monitor technician KPIs and implement training strategies to improve performance
  • Review and resolve service and maintenance callbacks, identifying trends and corrective actions
  • Ensure technicians follow service standards, documentation requirements, and customer contact expectations
  • Communicate regularly with the Service Manager on training progress, performance issues, and team needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
