This position involves the service and repair, design, configuration, and operation of complete HVAC building control systems and other low voltage control sub-systems. The role is accountable for the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of service and repair, as well as designs. The successful candidate will develop complex software programs, commissioning, and solving to ensure proper operations of the building control system, while providing detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to various stakeholders.

  • Responsible for the service & repair, design, configuration, and operation of HVAC building control systems and other low voltage control sub-systems.
  • Develop complex software programs and ensure proper operations of the building control system.
  • Create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, schedules, and electrical schematics as required.
  • Select, order, and track the delivery of materials for assigned jobs.
  • Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers.
  • Provide field change information for the creation of as-built drawings and software.
  • Keep management and contractors informed of job progress and issues.
  • Assist in performing site-specific training for owner/operator on the total building control system.
  • Participate in coordination and release meetings with sales and service operations.
  • Adhere to safety standards and maintain a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or minimum eight (8) years' experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or service, or HVAC industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems.
  • Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols (i.e., LON, BACnet, etc.).
  • Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated advanced computer skills, particularly in computer-related drafting tools.
