Requirements

High school diploma or GED
HVAC certification or diploma from an accredited trade school
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units
Ability to diagnose and resolve HVAC issues efficiently
Familiarity with local HVAC codes and regulations
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
Strong customer service and communication skills
Willingness to work on-call shifts and overtime as needed
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
EPA certification for handling refrigerants
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose and repair HVAC system malfunctions and inefficiencies.
Install new HVAC systems and components, including ductwork, wiring, and controls.
Ensure compliance with all applicable standards, codes, and regulations.
Provide customers with detailed reports on system conditions and suggested maintenance or repairs.
Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and service calls.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry advancements and HVAC technologies.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during service and repair activities.
Use specialized tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues and propose solutions.
Manage inventory and order parts as needed to ensure timely repairs and installations.
Provide training and guidance to junior technicians or apprentices when necessary.
