Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 4+ years’ experience in sales support, customer service or related trade fields (plumbing/PVF, HVAC or Fluid Handling).
  • Advanced technical product knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle escalated customer issues with a solutions-focused approach.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with CRM/ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership skills with experience mentoring, training, or coaching junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Support internal sales and branch teams as a technical resource, troubleshooting channel-specific challenges, guiding accurate quote preparation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts and escalated customer issues, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify customer needs and recommend solutions, product alternatives, or process improvements that add value.
  • Prepare accurate quotes for customers by gathering pricing, availability, and product details.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and digital platforms.
  • Mentor and support entry-level Inside Sales Support Specialists, sharing best practices and assisting with complex inquiries.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing workflows, customer interactions, and system utilization.
  • Stay current with industry developments, competitor offerings, and technology tools that impact customer service and sales support.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
