  • Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex control systems malfunctions.
  • Consult with customers and provide field proposals for retrofits and upgrades.
  • Manage assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution of time and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide sketches of field changes for engineering corrections.
  • Install and modify software and graphics.
  • Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and provide safety leadership.
  • Train customers in control systems operations.
  • Mentor and support Controls Technicians and Service Technicians.
  • Compile job documentation and conduct self-study to maintain technical proficiency.
  • Assist in the design and configuration of building control systems.
  • Select, order, and track delivery of materials for assigned projects.
  • Keep management informed of job progress and issues.
  • Minimum of Six (6) years Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Vocational School program graduate or associate's degree in a technical field, or two years' experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
  • Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
  • Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
  • Demonstrate effective writing skills and understanding of programs and software applications.
  • Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems.
