About The Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic and results driven candidate to join our team. The HVAC Sales Representative will be responsible for building relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their HVAC needs, and providing expert solutions. This role involves visiting clients at their locations, presenting our products and services, and generating sales opportunities within the light commercial and residential sectors.   $75k-$150k annually (combination of base salary plus commissions)

Requirements

  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in HVAC, construction, or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrated experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce and Cargas to manage pipelines, and track activities.
  • High school diploma required; college degree in business, sales, or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Prospecting: Identify and target new business opportunities within your assigned territory. Develop leads and contacts through networking, cold calling, and referrals. Actively seek opportunities to bundle HVAC installations with propane supply, heating oil accounts, and service contracts.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. Follow up regularly to ensure the client’s needs are being met.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s heating and cooling products, services, and technological innovations. Be able to educate customers on the benefits of our systems and solutions.
  • Sales Presentations: Conduct in-person meetings and presentations to potential clients. Explain the features, benefits, and pricing of HVAC systems and services.
  • Quote Preparation and Negotiation: Create customized quotes for clients based on their specific heating and cooling needs. Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of client satisfaction. Serve as the primary point of contact during the sales process and post-installation.
  • Sales Reporting: Track sales activities, maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline, and report regularly to the Sales Manager/ Director.
  • Market Research: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to ensure competitive positioning and product offerings.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the installation and service teams to ensure smooth execution of projects and customer satisfaction.
  • Cross Selling and Account Development: Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to cross sell propane, heating oil, HVAC service contracts, equipment upgrades, indoor air quality products, and system replacements. Present bundled solutions that combine equipment installation with fuel supply and preventative maintenance agreements. Review existing accounts to increase customer lifetime value and improve retention through multi service relationships.
