What this job involves: Join JLL as an HVAC/Refrigeration Technician and take ownership of critical building systems that keep our facilities running smoothly. This hands-on role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC-R equipment, utilities, and various mechanical systems including water and steam systems. You'll be a key player in ensuring optimal facility operations while working across multiple trades including plumbing and electrical work. This position offers excellent opportunities to apply your technical expertise in a dynamic environment where your skills directly impact building performance and client satisfaction. What your day-to-day will look like:

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience with commercial building systems, specifically refrigeration components
Experience operating electric hand tools, ladders, man lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts
Universal EPA 608 certification (Refrigeration)
Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision and strong problem-solving skills
Physical capability to lift 50lbs, work at heights, in confined spaces, and various weather conditions
Ability to work in tight spaces (closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults) and perform overhead work

Nice To Haves

Experience with Johnson Controls BAS systems and building automation
Trade license, apprenticeship, or equivalent vocational certification in HVAC/mechanical systems
Proven customer service skills in client-facing environments
Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and computer systems
Experience with SAP system (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain air handling equipment, including air filters, DP monitoring, and air balancing
Operate and maintain various refrigeration equipment such as coolers and freezers (reach-in and walk-in)
Monitor, adjust, and maintain HVAC systems, cooling towers, VAV systems, heat exchangers, and emergency backup systems
Respond to system alarms and implement corrective actions through analysis and troubleshooting
Perform maintenance and repairs on ventilation systems, pumps, valves, piping, and electrical components
Install plumbing, piping, tubing, and troubleshoot VFDs on HVAC units and pumps
Complete work permits, Job Hazard Analysis documentation, and maintain compliance with regulations
