HVAC-REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN
About The Position
Installation of all types of HVAC-Refrigeration equipment in a safe and acceptable manner. Install electrical wiring and control wiring as necessary. Properly design and size an HVAC&R system. Install and repair duct work. Utilize proper filtration. Troubleshoot and repair, or replace HVAC&R components as necessary. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment. Perform indoor air quality testing. Utilize safe working practices. Assist with snow removal. Respond to after hour emergencies as required; Carry and respond to a departmental pager as necessary. Perform clerical tasks related to the position, (EPA regulations) as required and necessary. Assist with other maintenance tasks and duties as necessary and required. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, or his designee.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent; Graduate of an HVAC&R Vocational Technical Training Program required.
- EPA Certification for proper refrigerant practices required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid state driver's license required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the HVAC&R trade preferred.
