About The Position

Tessera is seeking a detailed and experienced HVAC Refrigeration Technician 1A & Electrical Administrator with a positive attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to: HVAC Refrigeration Technician 1A Duties Repair, overhaul, maintain, and service HVAC equipment and control systems. Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, motors, etc. Work from blueprints, drawings, models, and/or verbal, written instructions. Perform occasional painting and touch up of structures and equipment. Must be available for after-hours dispatch and on-call rotation. Maintain EPA, Navy, and CFSI required refrigeration documentation. Communicate and interact directly with the customer and supervisors; informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs. Responds to customer inquiries and complaints. Ensure completed work meets quality control standards. Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor. Follow all Safety Procedures and Policies. For DDC: Collect and Trend Data. For DDC: Adjust or install a PID Loop to reduce or eliminate actuator hunting. For DDC: Design and Input a working program into a controller to operate a Variable Air Volume Box or a Constant Air Volume Box. For DDC: Calculate a designed CFM for a given room using a Constant Air Volume or Variable Air Volume Control Box. Electrical Administrator Duties Complete inspections to ensure all HVAC/Electrical work meets NEC, WAC, and RCW criteria and provide training and corrections as needed. Track, monitor and report approved labor hours for trainees to the state. Track, monitor, and support Trainee License acquisition. Track, monitor, and support Trainee CEU’s.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of utility maintenance experience required.
  • Must be familiar with LonWorks, BACnet, Siemens, Network 2000 (Ivensys) and N2.
  • EL-06A License required.
  • AD6A-HVAC/RFRG Electrical Administrator License required.
  • Refrigeration transition and recovery technician certification, Type III (Universal) required.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
