About The Position

Nextech is seeking dedicated HVAC/R Technicians to provide exceptional service and maintain the company's reputation for quality and integrity. The role involves performing service repairs, equipment maintenance, and replacements for commercial customers, ensuring high standards of customer service and technical ability. Technicians will work on a rotating schedule, including nights and weekends, to meet emergency service needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
  • 2+ years of recent HVAC/R Technician field experience.
  • Must live within 30 miles of the location of the position listed.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • EPA Certificate.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
  • Knowledge of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills for iPad and cell phone communication and documentation.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest level of technical ability, quality, value, and integrity to our customers.
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, cooling, and refrigeration units for commercial customers.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC/R systems.
  • Travel to job sites in the service area and coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedule and communicate delays to customers.
  • Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of customers.
  • Maintain good working order of company vehicle, equipment, and electronics.
  • Maintain stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Document details of services and parts provided to customers electronically through iPad applications.
  • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain replacement parts, calibrate systems to manufacturer's recommendations, and explain the need for recommended solutions.
  • Participate in company-provided training opportunities.
  • Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business, such as new units, PM contracts, and additional services.
