About The Position

Responsibilities include teaching courses related to HVAC/R Technology. Additional duties include curriculum development and revision, student advising, student recruitment, and participation in assigned departmental, divisional, and college-wide committees and activities.

Requirements

• Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS.
• One year diploma or certificate in HVAC/R Technology.
• 3-5 years of recent HVAC/R industry experience.
• Experience with duct design and fabrication.
• Experience with basic refrigeration/air conditioning/heat pump system performance, evacuation, and charging.
• Experience with electric/gas/fuel oil heating system design, installation, and service.
• General electrical knowledge and skillset.
• Computer literacy.
• Willingness to teach students with varying levels of ability.
• Flexibility to meet the needs of students.
• Commercial air conditioning design, installation, and service experience.
• Hydronic Heating Systems knowledge base.

Nice To Haves

• AAS Degree in HVAC/R Technology or related field
• 5+ years of recent HVAC/R industry experience
• Prior leadership, teaching, or training experience
• Commercial Refrigeration install and service experience
• Building system controls experience (Trane/Johnson Controls/Honeywell/others)
