About The Position

KCC, a leader in the climate control technology industry, is looking for a HVAC Product Engineerâ¯to join our team and help shape the next generation ofâ¯products. This role combines technical expertise in commercial HVAC system design with hands-on problem-solving. In this position, you will be working independently and collaboratively with a cross-functional team including Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Purchasing who are responsible for the design, support, and manufacturing of commercial HVAC equipment. Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent related experience
Software Proficiency:â¯Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Technical Skills:â¯Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Mechanical Skills: Strong hands-on/mechanical aptitude.
Interpersonal Skills:â¯Excellent personal interaction skills.
Time Management:â¯Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

Product Design: Design, analyze, and optimize commercial HVAC systems and components related to assembly, operation, and performance.
Product Support: Support Production, Sales, Applications, and Field Support teams in the operation of the product (product life cycle).
Develop Solutions: Engage with critical/high priority Engineering projects. Conduct product testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of changes.
Engineer to Order: Analyze custom requests and develop unique solutions to customers.
Vendor Relations: Collaborate with suppliers/vendors on the design of new and alternative components.
Continuous Improvement: Initiate continuous improvements for new and existing products, systems, and methods to improve performance, cost efficiency and reliability.
Specification and Regulatory Analysis: Analyze test results and implement appropriate changes to ensure products meet technical and functional requirements.
Documentation: Work with Sales, Production, and other engineering staff to help create and maintain sales documentation.
Ensure Accuracy:â¯Provide clear, concise, and accurate information to all relevant internal and external customers.
Continuous Education: Maintain a working understanding of applicable industry standards (ASHRAE, AHRI, ANSI, etc.).
