About The Position

We are a small, family owned residential/light commercial HVAC company located in the beautiful Florida Keys. We are looking for a qualified, experienced preventative maintenance/service HVAC technician with a minimum of 1 year experience. Honesty and reliability are a must. The PM/Service Technician reports to the Service Manager and is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on split HVAC systems, mini splits, dehumidifiers and ice machines. In addition, the technician will perform diagnostic service calls when needed.

Requirements

• One or more year(s) of successful experience, either as a service or preventative maintenance technician.
• Currently have an EPA Universal certification.
• Good verbal and reading skills, including the ability to read and apply manufacturers' instructions and to clearly communicate with customers, suppliers, and other Mead Mechanical employees.
• Physical ability to perform all duties noted above under the conditions, circumstances, and extreme weather conditions found in Florida.
• Current valid FL driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.

• Interest and initiative in maintaining and advancing HVAC skills through self-study, company training, manufacturers' workshops, and other professional development activities.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine preventative HVAC service activities without direct oversight or on-site assistance.
• Conducting HVAC servicing jobs promptly and efficiently.
• Available to be put into the on-call evening/weekend rotation.
• Performing related duties as directed by the Service Manager.
