About The Position

The HVAC PM Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, general maintenance, repair, or installation of other mechanical equipment.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain base access.
  • Submit to and successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Not be color-blind.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of recent experience within the past five years in HVAC trades.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC Journeyman's License.
  • Prior experience working on government contracts.
  • OSHA 10.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts preventive maintenance, service, and repair of the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems for a multiple-level, multiple-building office/commercial complex.
  • Inspects, repairs, maintains, and/or services refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and systems including condensers, evaporators, water cooling towers, motors, air handling units, furnaces, reciprocating chillers, pumps, and computer room a/c units.
  • Tests joints for leaks and insulates pipes pertaining to refrigeration, heating, or air-conditioning systems.
  • Connects motors to control panels and control panels to power sources.
  • Connects and disconnects wiring from 240 single-phase voltage to 480 three-phase voltage.
  • Tests for defective parts and malfunctions.
  • Reviews PM work activities and suggests changes to improve the operation or reliability of the equipment.
  • Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Maintains tools and equipment in good condition; plans and organizes assignments effectively.
  • Presents a professional, positive, and helpful attitude when interacting with customers, co-workers, and supervision.
  • Organizes all work assigned and completes accurately and on-time all work tickets and required paperwork.
  • Maintains effective communication with management, employees, and customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
