What you will do The Facility Tech III for the Steam Plant provides installation, commissioning, calibration, repair and troubleshooting skills to all instrumentation and controls. The specialist will train staff on operation of all systems in the plant. The technician assists all aspects of the plant from a maintenance and operational standpoint working closely with plant operators, O&M supervisor, and maintenance staff. The specialist provides shift coverage and 24/7 support on call for industrial electronic boiler automation repairs and plant operation. How you will do it Installation of electronic hardware, software, sensors, RTD’s, thermocouples, scanners, transmitters, modules, firmware, wires, emissions scanners and monitors, confined space air quality monitors, level controllers, switches, and associated equipment. Maintenance of all above listed components and interfacing equipment. Maintain communications links, wiring, and data systems related to smooth operation of facility. Installation, maintenance of industrial boiler electronic automation PLCs’ along with control software addressing and programming. Maintaining records retention, electronic logs, monitors, data archives, alarm summary, fault codes, and historian. Updating operating interface systems with hot fixes, operational updates, and vendor support program changes. Updating electronic drawings and configuration documents; when changes, fixes, and replacements of equipment occur. Installation and maintenance of electrical mechanical devices along with the components for industrial boiler process control systems such as low water cutoffs, safety interlocks, hand-off-auto stations, TDS stations, switching circuits, relays, wiring, and programmable controllers ranging from 24VDC- 120VAC. Training of new and existing staff on PLC operator interface system for boiler process controls, hand-off-auto interlocking devices, alarms, water testing equipment, and other plant involved electronic and controls systems. Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service and repair work. Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions and operates a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations. Requisitions new supplies and equipment. Assists CBM and O&M supervisor with M&V reporting, root cause analyses, solutions and remediation. Assist maintenance staff with cleaning, repair and maintenance of boilers and associated equipment. Includes fireside cleaning, waterside cleaning, and other maintenance duties assigned. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards. Perform other duties as required.
